Kazakh President K. Tokayev told representatives of the media: “In recognition of our bilateral cooperation, and of the tremendous efforts made in support of many initiatives for our partnership, we have awarded [President Khurelsukh] Kazakhstan’s highest state order, the ‘Golden Eagle.’”

In response, President U. Khurelsukh said: “We take this as not only an award for the President of Mongolia, but also as a profound expression of respect from the President of Kazakhstan and the people of Kazakhstan to the Mongolian people.

We sincerely appreciate that this has become such a wonderful historic event, one that will be written clearly and memorably into the history of our two countries.”

Today, President U. Khurelsukh will also take part in a regional high-level meeting on environmental issues under the auspices of the United Nations. Heads of state from Central Asian countries are expected to attend the meeting.
