Energy Resources LLC, the private-sector company and one of the country’s highest taxpayers, was founded on this day 21 years ago. One of the largest projects it has built at Ukhaa Khudag is the coal processing plant, which required an investment of 450 billion MNT.
This plant, which produces value-added goods domestically, has the capacity to wash 15 million tons of coal a year.
Over the past 21 years, Energy Resources has built a power plant to supply the mining complex and Tsogttsetsii soum with uninterrupted electricity around the clock.
It also developed the Cetsii 1 and 2 residential complexes in phases, creating a new settlement area in Tsogttsetsii soum, 560 km from the capital. Under stable employment contracts, the company runs a program that provides employees with free housing.
In addition, the commissioning of the Muruudul Educational Complex, with a school for 640 children, a kindergarten for 140 children, and a dormitory for 100 children, has become a comprehensive development project that has addressed jobs and social needs in this remote soum.
