Today marks the 21st anniversary of the founding of Energy Resources LLC, the highest-tax-paying private-sector company in Mongolia. One of the largest developments built at Ukhaa Khudag is the coal processing plant, which represents an investment of 450 billion MNT.
This plant, which produces value-added goods domestically, has the capacity to wash 15 million tons of coal per year.
Over the past 21 years, Energy Resources has also built a power plant that supplies the mining complex and Tsogttsetsii soum with uninterrupted electricity around the clock.
In addition, by developing the Tsetsi 1 and 2 residential complexes in phases, a new settlement area has emerged in Tsogttsetsii soum, 560 km from the capital. Under a stable employment agreement, the company provides employees with free housing.
Furthermore, the commissioning of the Muruudul Educational Complex, with its school for 640 children, kindergarten for 140 children, and dormitory for 100 children, has become a comprehensive development project that addressed employment and social needs in this remote soum.
