Energy Resources LLC, the private sector’s top tax payer, was established on this day 21 years ago. One of the largest developments at Ukhaa Khudag is the coal processing plant built with an investment of MNT 450 billion.
This plant, which produces value-added goods in Mongolia, has the capacity to wash 15 million tons of coal a year.
Over the past 21 years, Energy Resources has also built a power plant to ensure uninterrupted, round-the-clock electricity supply to the mining complex and Tsogttsetsii soum.
In addition, by developing the Tsetsii 1 and 2 residential complexes in phases, a new settlement area was created in Tsogttsetsii soum, 560 km from the capital. Under a stable employment contract framework, the company runs a program that provides employees with free housing.
In addition, commissioning the Muruudul Education Complex, which includes a school for 640 children, a kindergarten for 140 children, and a dormitory for 100 children, became a comprehensive development that helped address employment and social issues in the remote soum.
