Saudi Arabia / Ulaanbaatar — Mongolia’s motorsport talents continued to impress at the Dakar Rally 2026, with two riders representing the country in one of the world’s most demanding off-road endurance races.
The rally, held across the deserts of Saudi Arabia, tests competitors over thousands of kilometers of extreme terrain, combining speed, physical endurance, and navigation skills in a race widely regarded as the toughest in motorsport.

Top Performance by Enkh-Orgil
Among the Mongolian contingent:
- Enkh-Orgil, a celebrated national athlete, delivered a standout performance in the motorcycle category — finishing fourth overall on aggregate time after multiple stages of competition.
- Riding under race number 57, Enkh-Orgil completed the fifth stage with a time of 4:23:23, placing him among the leading riders in the field.
Other Mongolian Competitor
- P. Mörön, another Mongolian rider, also competed in the motorcycle class. He finished the same stage with a time of 5:29:14, ranked 37th at that point in the rally.
Race Context
At the time of the report, the overall leaderboard was led by Preston Campbell from the United States, with other front-running positions held by international riders, including teammates and challengers from Slovenia and Poland.
