Netflix’s new international show Physical: Asia is the global version of Korea’s famous program Physical: 100, featuring 48 athletes from eight countries — South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Turkey, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines.
Unlike the original, this show emphasizes team strength and national pride rather than individual performance. The winning team will receive a ₩1 billion prize.
🥇 Game 1 – Territory Conquest
Netflix’s large-scale and well-designed stage setup was evident right from the first game.
According to the organizers, 40 tons of metal and 1,200 tons of sand were used just for the first game’s stage design. Teams competed to capture territory in a sand arena.
Round 1: Australia and Japan won, while Mongolia and Thailand were eliminated.
Extra Match: Korea defeated Turkey, and the Philippines beat Indonesia to advance.
Final: Turkey beat Japan and became the winner of Game 1.
🚢 Game 2 – Ship Cargo Transport
Teams were tasked to transport over 6 tons of cargo within 20 minutes.
The Mongolian team successfully moved 2,000 kg of cargo, finishing in the top three, while the Korean team won the round.
- Korea – 2,120 kg
- Australia – 2,100 kg
- Mongolia – 2,000 kg
- Turkey – 1,990 kg
As a result, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines were eliminated after Game 2, but they were given one last chance in Game 2.5.
⚔️ Game 2.5 – “Death Match”
Teams had to steal a ball and score into the opponent’s goal within three minutes.
Five alternating rounds were played — 1v1 and 2v2 — and the episode ended with Thailand and Indonesia tied 2–2.
📺 The next episodes (5–6) will air on November 4, 2025, on Netflix, revealing which countries will dominate the next stage.
