Erdenet Mining Corporation has reported a highly successful operational year in 2025, setting new records across key production and economic indicators. The company, one of Mongolia’s largest industrial enterprises, increased its annual ore extraction and processing volumes and significantly boosted its revenue compared to previous years.
According to industry data, Erdenet produced nearly 40 million tonnes of processed ore in 2025, supporting broader growth in both output and profitability. The firm’s total sales revenue exceeded MNT 4.6 trillion, marking one of the most robust financial performances in its nearly five decades of operation.
A substantial portion of this revenue was contributed to public finances, with local and national government allocations and export earnings playing a key role. The company also reported significant progress in confirming long-term mineral reserves, which supports projections for sustained operations and investment feasibility into the future.
Looking ahead, Erdenet’s leadership has reiterated plans to develop value-added processing capacity, including feasibility work towards a cathode copper facility — a long-standing strategic goal aimed at increasing the economic benefits of Mongolia’s mineral resources.
