Mongolian Athlete Saifolla Shines at 2024 World Powerlifting Championships

The 2024 IPF World Open Equipped Powerlifting Championships took place in Iceland from November 11 to 16, with athletes from around the globe competing at the highest level. Mongolia proudly participated under the leadership of D. Battulga, President of the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation and an honored coach.

In a historic achievement, Mongolian athlete T. Saifolla excelled in the men’s 120 kg category, winning two medals:

  • Silver Medal in Squat: Saifolla lifted an impressive 437.5 kg.
  • Bronze Medal in Deadlift: He successfully pulled 357.5 kg.

This remarkable feat makes Saifolla the first Mongolian athlete to medal in both the squat and deadlift events at the World Open Equipped Powerlifting Championships in the 120 kg weight class.

Saifolla’s achievements add to Mongolia’s growing legacy in powerlifting. Competing against world-class athletes, his performance reflects years of dedication, rigorous training, and exceptional coaching.
